In my opinion, Youqing has the most miserable experience in this book. Firstly, as a child, he is always hurt by adults who are not credible. The most sorrow example is that People kill his beloved goats after promising not to kill. Secondly, he is a well-behaved child who really worth a better environment. To save some money, he runs to the school barefoot everyday; he needs to run for several times because he is in charge of the goats. Thirdly, Youqing's life is devaluated by people. The doctors draws all his blood out, utilizing Youqing's kindness, to save Chunsheng's wife because Chunsheng has a higher status; however, Youqing's life is also valuable. I do not mean that other characters' experiences are not miserable; Youqing's life touches me because he has to sustain himself in this turbulent time and dies for a person he has never talked before in a very young age.
